Today, in order to strengthen higher education and business partnerships, Rector of Vilnius University Artūras Žukauskas and Lithuanian Business Confederation (LBC) President Valdas Sutkus signed an agreement on long-term strategic cooperation. One of the main aims of the document was to encourage a greater compliance of study programs with labor market needs.

The Vilnius University together with LBC committed to raise national and international initiatives for research, education, labor market and other areas. The university will invite businesses and LBC will encourage its members to participate in the events organized by the university. The expertise will be shared during business lecturing and student internships. It was agreed to initiate projects funded from EU and other resources, and to participate in solving current problems which involve the business sector and scientists.
